We are the members of three (03) cooperative society name: Sundarbans Honey Workers Cooperative Society Ltd. in Munshigonj, Satkhira; Sundarbans Resource Harvesters Cooperative Society Ltd. in Dacope, Khulna; and Traditional Products Producers Cooperative Society Ltd. in Jashore. Cooperative members have been manufacturing the mangrove-based different products along with some traditional products of Jashore region which are detailed in the following pages. All the products have been processed, packaged and marketed through maintaining proper hygiene. Cooperative members are the pioneer of producing these local and unique products in the name of Banojibi, Mowal and Gachi Gur brand. They are producing the products through using local knowledge in cooperation with scientific methods. Majority of the members of these cooperative society are marginal people consisting of forest resource harvesters and local agriculture farmers. All the activities have been facilitating by Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS).
